Portions of certain WD TV Media Players’ firmware include open source software available under the General Public License (“GPL”).
The source code for any GPL Software may be downloaded at no charge from support.wdc.com/download/gpl or obtained on CD for a nominal charge from support.wdc.com/download/gpl or by calling Customer Support within three years of the date of purchase. Further a copy of the GPL license may be obtained at www.gnu.org, and may also be found at support.wdc.com/download/gpl.

Please keep in mind that the GPL Software is NOT the actual firmware for the WD TV devices. Any attempt to use the GPL Software to update the devices can, and most likely will, cause damage to the devices.
