WD HD TV Media Player [ Edited ]

I recently hooked up my HD Media player after not using it for sometime yesterday. I had no issues whatsoever doing anything with it hooked up to my WD Passport. Today no such luck. It will navigate through the files, show pics, etc., but when I click to play video file it will not play(just a black screen)-even the ones i played yesterday. I reset all the settings and it started to play a video. I stopped it to see if it will play another and it didn't. Went back to the one it just played and nothing-just dark screen. I've never upgraded the firmware(don't even have a cable), and I'm not sure if that will help. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

I believe it was a corrupted file-removed it and it seems to be working now.
