WD TV HD Media Player powering off after each play

Hi.

I recently had an issue with my WD TV HD Media Player whereby I lost all functionality.

It was suggested that I delete the WD file in the root directory of my Hard drive.

This worked perfectly :smileyvery-happy:, but ever since, every time I play something, at the end, the machine hangs and locks out for ages, then powers down, restarts and goes to the home page :smileysad:.

Also, the player always flashes and always says "reading the external drive".

Can anyone help please?

Assuming you have the latest updates ( years a go )

 

there's really not much that can be done to correct your issue
