public folder compiling library

Hi, I have just purchased a My Book Live 2TB.

When try and add the Public Folder to my network shares in WDTV Live the media library never stops compiling? i have tried it with just one photo in the folder and still never finishes.

But, when i create my own share these folders work fine and are compiled within seconds.

id like to utilise the public folder structure in WD so i can use the WD Photos app.

Am i doing something wrong? are there some permissions i need to change?

Try pressing the reset button on the bottom side ogf the WD TV for one second.
