wd tv live network dont work with mac os x 10.7 lion

Does anyone know if apple changed anything with smp in lion 10.7.3? It has some stuff in the update info about file sharing and smp, not sure if it changed anything. Im still running samba3 with macports on 10.7.3 as of right now.

To make Samba work again in OS X10.7 Lion, try SMBup - It is extremely simple and works!

Or if you're into using Terminal, a much more complicated but effective solution can be found in WD's workaround to create NFS share folders:

Remember to go back to the setup screen and choose Linux shares, not Windows shares.

Desperately trying to connect WD to OS X.

I tried the WD's workaround (create NFS share), but when doing

showmount -e

i get

"showmount: Cannot retrieve info from host: localhost: RPC: Port mapper failure - RPC: Remote system error"

I'm 100% certain that both paths, username and IP is correct on the exports file.

Any ideas?

Looks like either rpc or nfsd isn't running.
