DVD Navigation does not work over network

Is there a fix for this?

I connected my WDTV Live to my network to get access to my dvd files stored on a NAS.  When I try to watch a dvd (saved as VOB files) the DVD menu fails to operate properly.  This is a major problem for dvds that have multiple episodes saved on the same disc.   In addition, when I watch a movie, there is a disconnect between files where the screen goes blank until the next file continues.

I get both of these problems only when accessing my files over my network.  If the files are saved on the local hard drive (or attached USB drive) then the dvd menu works flawlessly and the movies don't run with glitches in between files.

Re: DVD Navigation does not work over network

If you're using a MEDIA SERVER, it's not going to support DVD nav.   That's a limitation of the Media Server protocol (DLNA) itself.

Or, are you using a Network Share?

Switch to Network share.  That fixed it.  Works great.

Thanks for the help!
