No Storage Present

My WDTVLIVEHUB cannot see the local drive. When I select Local Storage I get the dreaded "No Storage Present" message. I have reset to factory settings (many times), I have tried to reboot with and without a USB device connected in front of the device, but nothing seems to give the result desired.  I have miraculously ended up with connection to the local drive on a couple of occassions (without knowing what did it), only to lose it again and not be able to get it back.  All files are in place still when connection does come back.  Can you help please?

Could be a failing HD. Probably ought to call WD.
