A folder / share / Drive refresh option ?

I seem to be tinkering more with moviesheets / thumbs etc than I do watching films, and obviously a real pain is having to refresh (restart box) to pick up new folder icons etc....

Now during this time, I have been changing moviesheet designs on the fly, and to my surprise this did not need refreshing, I was even in the same folder watching the bluray icons change with the new template data.

But if I change a folder.jpg, I can't see it till I restart the box.

I know there is an option of turning options off and on in the media side of things, but that did not always work, and rather than have it rescan 4Tb of data, all I want it to do is refresh a folder.

Is it possible to code in a folder /share / drive refresh option, this would also help with new folders and content. As this also seems a bit backward.

Might be thinking to much out of the box, but the way I have been switching off and restarting "my box", its doing "my box" in. :smileyhappy:

and a key combination on the remote could trigger it. ie. hold home and press play. Then if you have a harmony can program the keycombo into 1 button. :smileyhappy:

Or even something within WD Discovery. Since most of the work and changes are done from the PC to the Hub, could just have WDD open and after making a change click refresh or compile. even more advanced would be if it captures a tree structure of folders and you could check mark the box of the folder you want to refresh or compile without having to do the whole drive if not needed.

Think I joined you outside the box :smileyhappy:

+1 for that please :smileyhappy: I could do with that.. every time I add media. I have to go reset the networking to get it picked up..

If you read above your comment it says "Implemented" ?

It is, the ony issue now really is it does not really work for a new folder.jpg, it does work for files of a fashion, but you have to have the folder in "My Media Library", you cant rescan a folder in the network share page.
