The hub support hd (h264) flv file so it can play youtube hd video in teory, and it seam to me that in play station 3 you can set the video quality to hd. So I think it's a problem of licence isn't it?

There is already another topic / idea about that. WDTV confirmed that they don't have the rights to access the h264/HD files with the YouTube plugin.

I have found a solution to access YouTube HD videos on your tv with the WDTV Live Hub but you need to use a app on your smartphone called 'ZappoTV'. I have it on my iPhone 3GS (iOS 4.x) and it's free and works pretty nice. It's not bug free but it works most of the time. The only feature that is missing is having the option there (ZappoTV app) to choose ONLY HD videos. That isn't possible yet.
