WD have already Stated that they have NO plans to Include a Web Browser.

Thanks for the suggestion. We find the Live Hub's hardware isn't capable of handling a web browser. There are two ways to download files from a local server: 1. Set up a network sync in Operation menu which Live Hub will sync content during standby mode 2. Copy/Move files from the File Management menu

This never makes sense to me.  If you can run a few different web pages (facebook, netflix, youtube, dailymotion) as apps, I don't get why they wouldn't just run as web pages.  Or create a general app that can find video content from any page and display it.

I also find it annoying to not be able to log in to certain video sites to view whatever content I want.  Or be able to comment or change video settings.

This is a great idea. There are a lot of services, not included in WD live hub, available via a web browse.

A reminder folks: the WD Live players are $100 media players and not computers.  If you want to browser the web on your TV, then hook up a laptop to the TV and have fun.
