Make the HDD in the Hub removable.
Every
Desktop laptop have removable HDD.
But
They don't make it easy.
Now
Laptops are the state of the art and are the easiest to R&R the HDD
Think
The WD Hub in my opinion is the state of the art in home enterment just short of building a small computer for the living room (which I have 2). I change out HDD almost as fast as I R&R micro SD's (have 100's laying around).
