Native 480i output thru HDMI for standard DVD content

For those whose TV might do a better job at upconversion from 480i to 1080p, a native 480i output from HDMI will be nice.  To me it seems, 480i DVD output from my DVD player (handled by the HDTV) seems better than from the WD 1080p.
