Wireless connection with non broadcasting SSID and DLink DWA-160

On WDTV Live Hub (f/w 2.03.24) initial wireless connection with D-Link DWA-160 (h/w ver A2 f/w 1.60)  can only be made if the wireless router is broadcasting SSID. Does WDTV need a option similar to Windows connect even if SSID is not broadcast. And FYI after the initial connection is made it behaves fine if change router to stop broadcasting SSID.
