New Idea

It would be great if there was a way to combine all the metadata from the internal storage and the network shares, so when one filters on "genre", etc you would get a list from all devices, not just the one from the currently connected device. This would allow a seemless movie retrieval list regarding where the movie actually resides.

The database actually does not offer location setting. All content are match by theAre you referring to keyboard setting? WDTV has no auto geo-location setting today either. Pls give us more detail.

Hello,

I have new WDTV  Live Hub and am experiencing some issues with folder metadata in the Gallery Preview mode.

Example, I have a "movies" folder with two subfolders, How to Train Your Dragon, and Alice in Wonderland (2010). Both of the subfolders have ISO files in them along with .jpg DVD cover art file with the same name as the folder. When I navigate into the "Dragon" folder and press "get content info", it extracts the metadata and makes it available as I navigate across the folders while in the movies folder. When I do the same for "Alice" ,  "get content info"  provides a list of the "Alice" movies, allows me to choose the "2010" version and updates the metadata. The metadata appears when I navigate into the Alice folder, but displays N/A as I navigate across it from the movies folder. Note, the DVD cover .jpg displays correctly for the "Alice" folder when I am in the movies folder.

I can understand how  "Alice" get multiple hits when the "get content info" is requested, but couldn't the file-id

(Ex: http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/12155)  be included in the reference in the movies.xml file so the lookup will succeed each time the folder is accessed after the initial "get content info" request ?

Thanks ...
