Re: ALASKA RESURFACE 7/3/12

@Serval

hey joey nice theme as usual \o/

but how to - for the movie/pictures/thumbs, i don't get it since you said it's a non moviesheet theme.. ?

Thanks,

You can use the Internal Info Scraper built in the Hub/Smp to generate the Movie/Tv XML and Thumbnails alternatly you could use use a 3rd party scraper (eg. Thumbgen) to do they same thing.

Thumbnail dimensions can be any scale factor of 1000x1500 eg. 120x180, 140x210, 160x240 etc etc

I recommend  300x450 maximum resolution... otherwise navigation speed will slow down.

Ajust subtitles

Hi Joey,

love your theme. I only have one question - how can I ajust subtitles during playback?

when I press the option button there is no subtitle ajustment.

I know the theme is on the early stages so maybe I'm just too impaitient... :smileyembarrassed:

Thanks for your great theme(s), Joey and keep up the spirit :smileyvery-happy:

Re: ALASKA RESURFACE 7/3/12

Hi Joey,

first of all, great work as always.

I have 2 small, kind of noobish questions

1) I haven't got it quite figured out, how to get the Gallery View right (2nd Preview Picture of yours on the left). I have all my movies equiped with a working Aeonish Moviesheet (since I was using Aenish since yesterday), but I don't get the Cover Picture. I do get the - let's call it - Preview Picture (the one on top of the text), but for the cover I only get a blurred part of the Preview.

and 2) How do I get the Preview Image with the Cover an 3 Movie Pictures (4th on the right) to show up, 'caus this looks amazing.

Greetings from Germany

Re: Ajust subtitles

Joey....

i pretty much told you that already but this theme knocks all other themes (including mine) out of the park.

It is genius because it is simple and i am at the point where I am taking speed over the beauty of a movie sheet.

Your layout solution for the gallery view is nearly perfect  and the only thing i regret about it is that i cannot give you 20 kudos for it :-)

Movie sheets is what brought me to this forum and when I couldn't find sheets I liked I made my own, having seen your theme with the newest firmware makes moviesheets look like a relict from the past. Either WD is changing the movie sheet trigger or I see a shift in themes to a solution like yours. The speed of this theme is unmatched.

I love it.

Re: ALASKA RESURFACE 7/3/12

Hi Joey!

At first I'd like to thank you so much for your hard efforts on this theme... absolutely amazing and great work!

Runs like a charm on my smp!

However I've got two questions about  features which would make this theme an unbeatable beast for me:

1) Would  it be possible to open a thumbgen-created moviesheet.jpg before the movie starts by  pressing the movie-cover (or alternatively by pressing for example the search-button)?

main-movie-browser-window ---> select movie and press ok/search-button  --> moviesheet.jpg shows up --> press ok again --> movie starts ( pressing back-button would take you back to the main-movie-browser-window respectively)

I really hope you understand what I mean! Sorry for my bad explanation-skills ;-)

2) is it possible to set paths to selfdefined-movie-pictures for preview-windows, as for now it simply  takes the upper half of the cover-thumbnail (see your screenshot No.3 ). I think i read about a possibility by using the media-library-feature but i really hope it is possible by setting  fix paths to my self-selected/collected- pictures by adding appropriate lines to the xml-files as well .

Would be fantastic if it could be done!

Anyway... Thanks a lot again!!!

Best Regards

Re: ALASKA RESURFACE 7/3/12

@Makula,

No to your question.  What you are asking is to change the operation.  This is not possible through theming, the only thing that can be changed is the look, not how the HUB/SMP operates.

The operation is controlled by the firmware and that can't be changed.

Give a man a Bundle and he'll be able to create moviesheets for one theme. Teach a man to setup Thumbgen and he'll be able to create moviesheets for any theme. If something doesn't work, read the instructions. If it still doesn't work READ the instructions again.
