Re: BLACK MAMBA V1.5 (Theme Update April 27th 2012)

Hi DeVicious,

Is it possible to give us the PSD of the genre thumbnails V2 and with all the images used?

The problem is I want to using the V2 thumbnails but not with the face on it..

So it would be great if you can send me this. Or if there's a V2 PSD and a zip with the images I can make the thumbs by myself.

Thanks in advance.

if you want modifications you need to do them yourself, 600 downloaders = 600 individual wishes, it cannot be done.

Download Thumbgen Designer and load the movie sheet templates into it and make the edits. Many of the other sheets have these kind of info already you can copy and paste the elements or use their sheets in gallery view if this is more family savy. sorry

Hi DeVicious,

My apologies, I didn't mean to sound like I was asking you to do a personal request. I wouldn't expect that, haha. I'm new at this so I was just wondering how it can be done, and you told me. So thank you! Keep up the good work buddy. Your theme is by far the best there is.

DeVicious,

Ok, even after you explained it and I downloaded Thumbgen Editor, I still can't figure out how to add certifcations. I am in over my head, haha.

Well, if you are open to working for payment, I would gladly pay you via paypal for your services of creating your same template with the movie certification pulled and added to them in your style.

If not, its ok just a wishful request.

Thanks.

Re: BLACK MAMBA V1.5 (Theme Update April 27th 2012)

@ Dangsta

working for payment would open a can of worms... :smileylol:

The easy solution would be a No Kids folder, I am happy to make a thumbnail for that. It is probably gonna be the most frequented folder when you are out of the house :smileylol:

if you want to put it into your movie sheets the easy version would be to replace the director with the certificate (this is for US Ratings)

open the template in Thumbgen Designer, mark "director" from the element list on the left hand side, look on the right hand side where it says "TEXT" change the value from directed by %director" into "Rated: %CERTIFICATION% " and you are set if your children understand the ratings and if they even care.

best solution hands down is to make a folder and tell your kids that every move they make is logged on the device. :smileylol:

Believe it or not, they are very trusting kids! (Well as far as I know)

You guys had me laughing so hard! Yes, when I was a kid, the "NO KIDS" folder would have been the most watched folder of them all!

Thank you De Vicious for helping!

Genre Cover v2 is generated through Thumbgen by using a v1 cover and running it throughanual mode using the series thumbnail template.

Re: BLACK MAMBA V1.5 (Theme Update April 27th 2012)

DeVicious,

on a related topic, I've been looking at creating my own Genre Thumbs (UK sports = drunk fans in bar). Everything is fine apart from accurately emulating the look & feel of the text :smileysad:

It's close - but definitely no cigar. The main difference would appear to be the shiny 'Plastic' effect that you have. I use PhotoShop Elements 7 so it may be that the effect you apply is not easily re-creatable. PSE offers glow and Plastic options but they are not subtle like yours. I know that I could re-create ALL the Thumbnails by overlaying my text layer on your files, but this seems overkill and would result in a (small?) reduction of artwork quality due to re-compression of the JPG.

I'm not wanting you to give away any 'secrets' - so if this is a special you have worked out for yourself then it should remain yours. However if this is simply a standard PSE setting that I'm missing.....Or would you recommend using something like GIMP?

If this helped, please consider giving Kudos, thank you...

@ Bodders

I am using Photo Paint from Corel but I know it can be reproduced in Photo Shop with the plastic effect or emboss effect, i can't tell you the settings since I don't know them, sorry.
