External HDD Folder Issue - Please Help

[ Edited ]

I hope someone can help me.

I've had an external HDD plugged into my WDTV Live.  Often, I have ejected it and added files and reconnected it.

Today, when I try to do this, I have had issues.  Originally,WDTV could see the folder yet would only access one film inside.

When I connected the HDD to my PC, I needed to run chkdsk and I deleted a file.  Coincidentally, it was the film WDTV would begin playing when I tried to access my movies folder.

Now, when reconnecting WDTV, it does not show the folder at all under VIDEOS, but I am able to see the folder through the FILES option and it appears to have most of (if not all - haven't been able to cross check all titles).

Prior to reconnecting the drive for the first time today, I had changed the network password.

Can someone tell me what I might be doing wrong or how to fix this issue please?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: External HDD Folder Issue - Please Help

Eject it, re-connect it to your PC, and find the hidden folder named ".wd_tv" on the root folder of the HD.

Delete it.

Eject from your PC, re-attach to the WD.
