Music Queue

When Listening to music in the queue I press Play

 

I then add new music tracks to the Queue but they don’t simply play and the music stops at the end of the original Queue

That's correct.

 

When you play the queue, the WD creates an internal playlist of sorts.  The playlist remains static regardless of changes to the queue, until you stop it and restart it.
