After I had signed in using the DNS parameters in that linked I reverted back to the original DNS and it still works. I can now connect to Netflix UK.

This problem has come up again for me. I keep doing the dns thing and after a day or two I get errors again. Not good enough.

Re: Netflix - Ireland & UK, working for anyone?

Hi,

Prior to the problem reoccuring did you reset your router for any reasons ?

I wonder what the DNS issue can be attributed to. Ultimately with new DNS settings the service works, and once you have signed-in you can revert back to your original DNS without affecting performance. However it seems that over a certain period of time, and possibly in the case of needing to reset the router, the connection problem comes back.

This is very odd.

The DNS solution cured my problem. In fact , it did more than that. For some reason the Netflix app lets me access the US library instead of the UK. There's loads more content! Very pleased

Yes I am very pleased with the service, great speed, picture quality etc. Unlike most comments I have found many months of stuff to watch and I am sure by then all the big studios they have signed in the USA would have completed the UK contracts and we will be open to a nice range of top films.

I managed to get on NF USA on my PC using a anon proxy service yesterday to take a peak at the range, we are in for some great stuff once the UK rights contracts are in place ;O)

Re: Netflix - Ireland & UK, working for anyone?

Just a quick note that may help some peope in old postings, when i put on the update I could not connect to netflix, it turns out just after the update my SUBNET, DNS etc settings for wireless has been lost and would not auto load.

I fixed this by simply connecting the WDLive to the Modem using Ehternet, this connected, I then noted down all the settings, removed cable, went back to wirelss set up from scratch, chose manual entry for all DNS settings, hay presto straight back on no problems at all.
