Re: Netflix support in pal Europe version?

Tried DNS-variant which works on other platforms to no avail.

Guess we're stuck with atv.

Spotify is to little for warrant exchanging our three generation two players. The third gens interface is nice, but doesn't feel as responsive. Unfortunately my return policy of 14 days has already passed.

Maybe a proper US vpn will do the trick?

Re: Netflix support in pal Europe version?

No, a VPN will not make services appear in the SERVICES tab.

VPNs will only work on services that DO appear in the services tab, but then tell you that you're not allowed to watch it when you connect to the service.

So the boxes aren't identical? Anybody knows what's missing from PAL version? If the box is doing geological ip checks for which services available then us VPN should be enough because you can watch netflix and other US services in EU through US vpn.

The Geolocation check that determines what services to display is done before the VPN is established.

The SERVICE then does its own check, which is why VPN works with some services.

Re: Netflix support in pal Europe version?

Hmmm. but if you have vpn already active in your router or some other way like routing through NIC of your computer, how is it even possible to do it before?

Re: Netflix support in pal Europe version?

There is no geo or ip check. It's hardcoded in the region code of the player BUT
