continuous freeze

My WD TV Live (3rd generationa) freeze often while watching movies. I usually watch mkv 1080p, and almost every 20-30 minutes the media player freeze. The only way to fix it is to unplug the power cord. At least so far I could not find a better fix. I run the latest firmware. Any idea how to solve this annoying issue? As-is this product in my opinion does not work. I cannot watch movies rebooting every 30 minutes...

If mkv's have been encoded with Handbrake, then see this here:

Thanks for the tip. This did not help though. The problem occurrs only after I have upgraded to the latest firmware 1.09.10. It seems to happen with all videos, regardless how they have been ecoded.
