Some of my main folders i.e Music Dvd are not displaying the folder.jpg on the folder in smp but do on computer. Any help would be helpful.

Cheers

Standard is 185x273, it seems.. at least that's what the automatically generated ones are. I have a working folder.jpg in a folder with 27kb in size. For some reason, the folder.jpg doesn't work for me in folders that contain movies, and have omovie thumbnails in them.. it picks one of the first movie thumbnails instead of folder.jpg.

Edit: I found out I can trick it into working by naming the folder thumbnail "1.metathumb". That way it's usually the first file in the folder and will be used, after powercycling the WDTV.

200x300 works too. I have some anywhere from 25kb to 65kb

Arakon, thats a good trick, i'll have to try it i am still on 1.04.12 because thats the last firmware that uses the folder.jpg in folders with movies

I just chose a file that was working and used it's dimenensions, etc

In my case the folder.jpg dimensions were 110px wide by 165px high and 6.39kb's

Re: folder.jpg

Hi all newbie here :smileyhappy:

Do you name the jpeg 1.metathumb or should it be 1.metathumb.jpg?

I tried 1.metathumb and it didn't work for me after doing a power cycle and scan.

It still uses the first Movie in the folder for the folder view :smileysad:

Thanks

I'm using Tinwarbles dvd covers with my metathumbs and still sometimes a metathumb will not show because it is to big(kb's). If I create a std metathumb in ends up to big in kb's, I now save the file as a jpg file (smaller kb's format) then simply rename it in explorer to xxx.metathumb, file remains same size and voila it shows up like it's supposed to.
