shuffle portable hard drive

I am trying to shuffle all music on a portable hard drive. it will shuffle among artists, but it will not play song titles that begin with anything but the letter A. it ignores the rest of the hard drive. the hard drive has 6000+ songs in .flac format. how can i get it to shuffle ALL my music?

When you select the shuffle option only the music in the folder will be shuffled, so if you have your music divided by alphabetic order folders, that might be causing the problem.

thank you for the reply but my files are not set up alphabetically. this is on a portbale hard drive so there is an "all music "option in the WD menu.

while shuffling songs beginnin with A it mixed in songs beginning with Y. Now afrer running continuously for 3 days it is only playing songs beginning with B.
