Re: New Issue Reporting Exchange for WD TV Live Streaming (10/19/11)

Steaming starts, stops, stutters, with music on movie file doing the same.  The file is fine because have made DVD's and playback on computer is OK.  There appears to be a buffering problem with WD TV Live Streaming Media Player, even with the latest firmware installed.

You should report that at the link below and not here. This thread is simply to tell you about the reporting thread.

Problem with DLNA Icon CONTENT-TYPE header

I'm a developer.  I've noticed that there is an error in the WDTV Live and WD TV Live Hub wherein the mime-type is missing from the CONTENT-TYPE header for the renderer's 120px PNG icon:

GET /icon_logo4wmc_120x120.png HTTP/1.1
Host: 192.168.1.71:10184
User-Agent: Kinoma5
Connection: keep-alive
Cache-Control: no-transform
Accept-Language: en, *
Accept-Encoding: gzip

HTTP/1.1 200 OK
Transfer-Encoding: chunked
CONTENT-TYPE:  %s;charset="utf-8"
Server: POSIX, UPnP/1.0, Intel MicroStack/1.0.1497

Where the "%s" is, it should have the PNG mimetype.

Re: Problem with wifi connection

[ Edited ]

Hello,

I've got a problem here.

After the latest update (1.08.17) I can't play files from my wifi network anymore.

I can't read photos, music, videos from the multimedia Server through the wifi connection but I still can read them from the local usb storage....

And once I tried to read a file from the server, I lose the wifi network connection and i have to reboot the player.

Everything was all right on the previous release 1.07.18.

Thank you for your help,

CW

Re: Problem with wifi connection

Hi,

sorry I can't help, but I have the same problem with wired connection. When I access HD for uploading the network interface stays UP but its not communicating any longer - I have to reboot. Happens after few megabytes and always. Not acceptable

"Repeat All" playback options reset after device off&on

I am using 1.09.10 firmware

I've set the video playback mode to "repeat all" in Video playback settings. It works but, until I restart my device! when I turn the device OFF and ON (after a day usually) the playback only plays one file and does not continue on other files!

I checked the video playback settings and it is still on "Repeat All" mode.

to solve the issue, while playing a video I need to go to options and change the playback mode from Repeat All to Repeat All again so that it will work!!

Like a simple File Manager!

Why not have an option anywhere "not create the .wdtv folders anywhere", "not create library"?

Why not have an option anywhere "not read ALL THE HARD"?
Only the first level is sufficient.
Like a simple File Manager will works.
I know the structure of my hard ... So I would have time to read 0 !
I've already filled 650 GB with photos and videos from my camera - there you see the time (minutes, no seconds) to read!!!
