It was great that you added the filter to only show TV Shows. However, you also need one to ONLY show Movies. Having all those TV Show episodes clogging my list is getting annoying.

Just create some folders.

That is useless when using "My Media". That is where the problem lies. I already have all my TV is in it's own folder.  However, when using "My Media", you either have "ALL" or "TV" only, but not "Movies" only. That's where they dropped the ball. Using "My Media" is a must in my household as navigating between several different folders and sources isn't going to fly(I have 3 different NAS drives with content on them).

Seems pretty simple on their part to add the Movies Only Filter(since they already have a TV Only Filter).

I've just submitted a very similar idea to this one but this isn't about selecting a folder and then applying a filter, I want to have Custom Views that is basically a view that implements the filter you are describing - whether it be Movies or TVs (or any other piece of meta data we have available).

The response that you should create folders isn't feasable and shouldn't be necessary.  The Media Library shouldn't be based upon our folder structure, it should be based upon the meta data of their contents.

This was my suggestion:
