When we play a movie and in between click 'OK' button bring up "Skip to Desired Time" menu,  time displayed is none.

It would be nice, if it can displays the time where we paused the movie. By this way you want to fast forward 10 mnts, you can actually calculate from the time displayed and then enter the new time.

Thanks,

Simon Mandy

I feel your pain. They really need to fix media file navigation for both video and audio. If you look around this forum, you will see that customers have been asking for an alternative to the video "10 min skip" and "skip to desired time" options for a very long time. WD has responded with "acknowledged".

Wouldn't it be nice if they were to activate the right and left arrows keys to skip forward and back during playback? If held down, the media would skip forward or back in progressively larger chunks. If pressed once, it would move forward or back in a user selectable chunk such as 1, 3 or 5 minutes for example. Until then, I guess we will all have to settle for "acknowledged"........

I recently purchased a pair of SMPs to replace my Popcorn Hour A-100 units.  For the most part, I LOVE my WDTVs, BUT there is one feature in particular that the Popcorn Hours offered that I would love to see on the SMPs.  With the PCHs, you could skip to a percentage of the movie...ie 10%, 20%, etc.  These jumps were in 10% increments and were based on the total movie length and not where you currently were in the movie.  It made it a WHOLE lot easier when you were doing a demo of your theater and wanted to go to a certain scene.  It's a lot easier to remember that a scene is somewhere close to the 60% mark instead of 1:29:45. :smileyfrustrated:

Being new to the scene, where would I go to to log this as a request, other than on this forum?  And this "10min skip" that you referred to RMR57, how do I initiate this?  I use MainLobby as my GUI interface and would like to encode a specific button for this.

To get the 10 minute skip to work in videos, you have to be in ff mode and then push the "next track" button. Doesn't work for audio files though.

This problem never occurred on prvious releases of firmware, only happens with 1.12.14

When playing ISO Bluray files and need to skip to a desired time, movie freezes, and I'm unable to stop the movie sound (movie will stop) and  powered off (forced, pulling plug).

Have also reset all settings as unable to install any previous releases, problem is still there.
