Time of day Display during movie viewing

When a user presses the "OK" button during a movie and gets the process bar and movie thumb + name, there is no time of day displayed. This is very handy if you need to know the time while watching a movie. My T.V. had this for movie viewing, it would display the time in the top right corner and I miss it very much. I'm hoping the next firmware update will add the time of day to this information.

That can be easily done by editing the video_run.xml.

Here is the modified xml all zipped up for you to upload to your SMP.

1: Download the Zip file JoeySmyth posted (don't unzip it).

2: Switch on your WD TV, go into Setup > About, and write down the I.P address under Network Info.

3: Open a browser window on your PC and in the address bar enter the I.P address of your WD TV.

This should bring up the WD TV web interface, login and in the menu go to the section Appearance.

4: In the Browse file section, click on the Browse button and select the VideoTimeMod.zip file you downloaded and then click on submit.

5: Go back to your WD TV, play a video file, press the OK button of the remote and the clock should appear in the top right of the screen.
