Browsing Samba-folders via wifi in list-view slows to a crawl after playing one file

Which firmware?

1.08.17

-

What happened?

Browsing in a newly connected Windows-share via wifi (bg) is resonably fast, but after playing one file, browsing in folders with a lot of items (>300) becomes unbearably slow. This can only be cured by rebooting the device. Media Library is turned OFF.

-

What were you doing?

Playing one file from a Windows share.

-

Does this happen every time?

Yes.

-

What hardware and media were you using?

WDTV Live SMP -01 and a Windows Share

-

Did this happen with previous firmware?

Yes.

-

Does power cycling the unit solve this?

It solves the slowness, but not the problem itself.

-

Does resetting to factory defaults solve this?

No.

-

Have you tried this on other devices?

No. The shares work fine for other devices (notebooks etc.).

1.11.14 seems to have fixed this issue.

But please get rid of the spinning icon at the beginning and the first seconds of playback (also happens when the file is stored on an USB-drive).
