Firmware 1.09.10 Bugs cause crash and network issues

Hi, here is the answer to your questions...

Issue #1

Which firmware were you using? 1.09.10

What exactly happened? Playback stops randomly even when playing MKV from local storage 20mins into watching sometimes 30 or 40 mins in, this requires me to pull the power cord out of the unit and restart again.

What you were doing? Watching local files of various types, including MKV and AVI, either locally or via network

What hardware and media were you using? WDTV Live

Does it happen every time? Yes

Does it happen with previous firmware? No

Does power cycling the unit solve it? No

Does resetting to factory defaults solve it? I will try tonight and edit this section.

Have you tried this on other devices? Playback works locally on the server but I dont have another streaming device to test

Which firmware were you using? 1.09.10

What exactly happened? Shares are not showing up

What you were doing? Trying to find the shares on my WIN7 64bit server pc... it requires a clearance of all network settings, cached settings and need to run network setup on every restart

What hardware and media were you using? WDTV Live

Does it happen every time? Yes

Does it happen with previous firmware? No

Does power cycling the unit solve it? No

Does resetting to factory defaults solve it? I will try tonight and edit this section.

Have you tried this on other devices? Networking is working from my local pc to my server pc, no problems at all.

The WDTV Live has gone worse for me in every update.

Whats happening WD? lets release a solid firmware from now on.
