TV shows episode sorting still isnt fixed

All WD has done is adding a filter, wich really isnt enough. If I use the filte, my movie folder disappears. How about adding sorting and filter methods to each folder instead of overall. Or just get rid of the tv show filter and make the SMP add the 0 to the season.episode format so it will be tv-showname 01-01 instead of tv-showname 1-1 and so on.

-Which firmware? current version 1.08.17
-What happened?  In my shared folder I have a movie folder and a tv show folder. When applying the tv show filter, all my other folders dissappear.
-What were you doing? Applying the tv show filter.
-Does this happen every time? yes
-What hardware and media were you using? SMP
-Did this happen with previous firmware? Wasnt implementet in previous firmware.
-Does power cycling the unit solve this? No
-Does resetting to factory defaults solve this? No
-Have you tried this on other devices? Yes, I have 2xSMP

A alternativ could be to use REGEX or somthing simelar dependig on your programlanguage to add zero on the name when it is imported from IMDB. When you import you have "nameofshow season 1 - 1" and you convert this to " nameofshow season 1 - 01  " then it will work in folder mode.

I just want it to work when WD say they have fixed it. I dont want to use some kind of 3 party program.

I meant that WD could do it (add it to the software) :smileywink:

Interestingly it seemed to work for me for about an hour, and then just reverted to the way it used to be. Rebooting didn't help either.

Getting really tired of this to be honest, and I will never again buy another WD product if they cannot get something so basic to work right from the right from the beginning, and then take over a year to "resolve" a problem with a trailing 0 which hasn't actually been resolved.

And I'm not interesting in filtering by TV Show (because that hides my Movies folder), nor am I interested in using 3rd party applications for something that should work out the box.

Still isn't fixed... I don't see how this would be hard to implement... even just even the ability to change the filter type on a folder by folder basis would fix this issue! I'm no dev but i have a basic understanding of programming and unless there is something really strange about how filtering is applied (i'm assuming as you can change filters in "music" "videos" "files" separately) it should be easy enough, just to add a string into one of the .wd_live folders that  the box creates in the folders, i've even added the two files separately, i don't understand why it can't be filtered separately!!

I'm on the latest firmware too... the tv filter is a step in the right direction... if you only have tv shows...
