Same here.

I have this problem, but I have it also with video_ts folders. On older firmwares it worked perfectly. It's no problem for me to set the match video framerate option to off.

I have the problem with playing movie files from my synology nas.

It's not a big problem for my because my new tv handles 24p mkv's and other files now without problems, but for people with older tv's it is a problem.

I have no problems so far with ISOs. I did a factory reset right after applying the upgrade. Tried three ISOs, two PAL and one NTSC. Try reseting the SMP to factory defaults.

factory reset to default after the update and spent 30mins getting everything setup the way it was before the reset, still the same reboot problem

I can confirm this same annoying issue. DO WESTERN DIGITAL TEST THEIR FIRMWARE UPGRADES? I guess not. Another even more annoying issue with this buggy box is when you re-reset the device and you are not connected to the internet (Lan or wireless) it insists on "finding" a wireless network and when it can't it will reboot in a horrible loop. I don't have a home network, wired or wireless,my location is remote. I have to bring the box to a friend to get past this issue - otherwise SETUP CAN'T COMPLETE! - More issue's are stuttering in .MKV with high bitrate's, I could go on, Infact I am sorry I bought the unit.

I can confirm this, -01 device, 1.08.17, factory-reset after reboot, with several ISOs, as an example the one offered here: http://www.deniscarl.com/dvdtest/

@ vertical: Have you set "match video framerate" to on? Default is off.

"Under Audio/Video Output Setup --> Video Output --> HDMI (auto), Auto, ........ ... , it asks "Match video framerate" On/Off ."
