2tb GoFlex Desk not being seen by WD TV Mini Media Player

We've been using a La Cie 1tb without a problem with our WD TV Mini Media Player. This week I bought a 2tb GoFlex Desk STAC2000300 which works fine on my Mac, but isn't seen by the TV Mini. I haven't been able to find any other discussion of  this via google.

 

Does anyone have any ideas how I can resolve this?

Make sure the drive is *NOT* formatted with GUID Partition Table  (GPT)

 

I can't find anything online about that drive's formatting, but it's worth a look

The drive was formatted with Mac OS Extended. I reformatted as FAT32, and we'll see how that goes. Will post again if there's further issues.
