Dear Support/Admin/Consumers,

Over the past week or so, I have been finding numerous forums such as the avs forum and a few other places which I don't have available off hand, but so many people are having issues with this.

The LiveHub will not send MultiChannel Optical to an AVR if HDMI is set to Stereo and connected to your LCD TV.

There are a large number of users having difficulty with this, some suggesting to downgrade Firmware but no such functionality seems to have been available on the Hub in the past.

Competinig products, which I will now mention, such as the Samsung bluray players, Popcorn Hour and Asus O Play do not have this issue.  

Enabling Optical to do Multi Channel DTS and DD is useful for those who

-Do not have HDMI on their Receiver, and their LCD TV does not Output MultiChannel on Optical when Receiving an HDMI Signal

-LCD TV does not support decoding of DTS and does not allow Bitstream over HDMI

-Not everyone wants their AVR to be turned on at all times

-Not everyone wants the hassle of swithcing. Once you go into Setup Options to switch Audio Output, you have to navigate all the way back to your Movie File.

This is a hassle, and it is considered an issue even by the BestBuy and Futureshop staff (atleast the ones I have met) who are encouraging users with specific needs to stay away from the Hub. 

Sometimes our Wives and Children jsut want to turn on the TV and watch their movie without having to Fiddle with the AVR. I can give many reasons and so far I have not found any support.

Many users here have even bashed my attempts to get this issue across to support. Contacting WD Support was of no help. They have straight up answers and basically do not tell you why its not allowed. They just tell you You cant do it where as many other devices do. I urge anyone with this issue to please post in this forum and any ideas on how we can get WD to recognize this as our need so we can get this function unblocked.

We are not pirates, we are not doing anything illegal. We just want to have Digital out over Optical, while the Picture along with Stereo goes to the TV if Only the TV is on and we don't need to use an AVR for a TV show or something wtih 2 Channel Audio.

I need some help, some advice, and some hope on whether this will be fixed. Its my only major request.
